ASPPR: active single-image piecewise planar 3D reconstruction based on geometric priors

Single-image piecewise planar reconstruction aims at recovering piecewise planar structures of a building from an image. Considering the intrinsic spatial ambiguity in a single image, it is an enormous challenge for existing geometry and learning-based methods to obtain reliable results on complex building structures. To address the problem, motivated by the successful use of interactive strategies in other visual tasks, we propose an active single-image piecewise planar reconstruction (ASPPR) method that integrates automatic plane inference and interactive plane refinement using geometric priors.
